There’s only a few days left before the highly anticipated Westin Verasa has its grand opening. Located along the calm banks of the Napa River, this Westin is Starwood’s first property in the Napa Valley region and destined to become the star attraction of Napa’s growing downtown area. Its prime location is a stone’s throw away from Oxbow Public Market, COPIA (American Center for Wine Food of the Arts), and the Wine Train depot.
The Westin Verasa will represent everything the Napa Valley region stands for . . . a relaxed outdoor atmosphere, historic architecture, great food, and some of the world’s best wine. Its 180-rooms are a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom suites. The hotel’s design is based on regional traditions, symbolic of Napa and San Francisco Bay Area architecture. This of course includes bay windows and a structure made of naturals timbers and stone to create a final product that delivers that sense of “renewal” that we have all come to love about the Westin brand.
Arguably the biggest highlight of all is the migration of Chef Ken Frank’s restaurant, La Toque, to the Westin Verasa. The restaurant was named one of “America’s Best Restaurants” by Wine Spectator magazine and has also received a Michelin Star for its contemporary French cuisine. The first Yelp review I read said it all, “I don’t think I’ve ever had a better meal.”
The four-star Westin Verasa is in fact a condo-hotel, a growing trend in the real estate and lodging markets. Condo unit prices range from $500,000 for smaller studios to $1,174,900 for a two-bedroom unit, giving owners a certain allowance of stays per year. Think of this as fractional ownership. Included in this price are all the amenities you’d come to expect from a four-star Westin, including the Heavenly Beds and Bath amenities. Owners also have a dedicated hotel management team to sell hotel rooms (which ballpark around $299) and meeting space to maximize their ROI.
